Gallivanter Great shoe
I've tried several brands of golf shoes over the last 30 years and for the last 15 years have always stuck with Foot joy. However, saw a pair of grey GFore Gallivanter golf shoes in the on- line sale and really liked the design, classic looking with a few subtle modern touches. Did has advised and ordered half a shoe size bigger. Delivered within two days and you could feel and see the quality straight away.The big question was 'Would they be as comfortable with no breaking in required as my Footjoys have been?' Tried them out straight out of the box for a full round of golf in damp conditions. It rains alot in Cumbria. No problems whatsoever. Very comfortable as well as waterproof with some admiring looks from my fellow golfers. A really well made comfortable golf shoes that more than competes with Footjoy's Premier range of golf shoes. Okay, the full price of £180 isn't cheap. Hence the half price sale was a real bargain. However, you get what you pay for and I shall have no qualms about buying this brand of golf shoes in future at full price if no sale is forthcoming.
